I haven't been home in years if I know even where it is

The letters come in, but nobody opens them anymore

They just sleep by the door

I'm hungry

Everything's stale and pales when I make a comparison

The sounds, and the taste, and the places I see that I've never been

But I've felt them before

I'm lonely

Surrounded by all the eyes on the wall, but they never speak

They only make sounds, like leaves on the ground as they're crumbling

Doesn't faze me at all

It'd be such a shame to feel you're to blame, it's not easy

My hands on the mend but the heart trips again, it's so easy

To feel so let down

It's an awful affair

Workin' day in day out tryin' hard just to care

On the whole, it's a shell

Puttin' time into tryin' just to be someone else

I can't say I'm ashamed

That I want what I want, can you say I'm to blame

Put it all back to bed
