Unseen I am

Unheralded, unknown, unremembered

Yet in the dust of my steps

A million or more may follow

In the shadows of these great crags

Of timeless splendour and ageless wonder

In which black hollows once rang

With the sound of old rites

Wordless paeans to ancient Gods

Voices raised in honour

In lands steeped with the echoes

Of the first wayfarers

I now walk and make my path

I will be the first

The first of many

To make these journeys

Across realms once untrodden

Unseen save by the gaze of Sol or beast

The first breath of man mingling

With the harsh winds that sculpt the crowns of this world

Alone I am – master of earth

Solitary, silent, stentorian

Yet in the paths I have forged

An eternity of wanderers will follow

Though the winds of time and the woes of man

May lash and ravage my works

Etched upon the tapestry of legend

This legacy remains undimmed

I call to thee, all those in my wake

Countless legions who flock to this realm

Gather thyselves for what lies before

A testament to the Maker of Paths
