Deus Ex Machina moves me forth

To the wars of ancient lands

Against the pillars of pride

The chair like a burnished throne

Glowered upon the stone

Reflecting storied battles of pikes and squares

On the checkered plains of pain

Standards wave blown in dusty breeze

Spears glittering like jewels

Men we are, pawns we are

All marching to our doom.

To kill the King upon his throne

Marching forth, until the deed is done

Deus Ex Machina beckons me towards

The slaughter of man's hubris

Upon their gaming boards

Marching 'neath the torchlight

That pierced the gloom

Goaded into a human tide

Crashing upon the walls

And so here I lay dying

My life naught but a flash

Extingued like a flame

Alone at last

To kill the King upon his throne
