What Does Simran Mean?

In Hindu and yogic philosophy

Simran is the act of profound reflection that leads to awareness

Of the true nature of the inner realm through calling upon the name of God.

In Sikhism, Simran is the act of reciting or repeating the name of God in prayer.

The constant remembrance of one's connection with The Divine.

This refers to the continuous reminiscence of the finest aspect of our primordial inner being.

The meditative, longingly creative feeling of God or Cosmic Divine Reality.

What's the very first thing you recall about your life?

How you born in the middle of a riddle

And never quite understand how it began

Even prior to diapers

And if there's even some kind of plan

Or we just fighting for our life?

Distractin' ourselves from the deeper strife

While detractin' our health

And extractin' ourselves

Soul fragments for sale

They stole magic for wealth

And sold tragic for profit

Legend has it we're off it

Wonder if that's happened often?

And can we shift the optics

Or what's the sanest option?

If that's even up for topics

Rather lie out in the tropics

Sometimes our hearts seem too frosted

Myself included

Accountability wasn't precluded

Since that one ya'll love to use it

At this point, it's hardly amusin'

Or maybe partly confusin'

And just a dash of delusion

And maybe that one is mutual

Can't just pop it back in place

Cause it's more than contusions

Bad blood when it bruises

It is believed that practicing Simran purifies the practitioner.

Gradually freeing him or her from the hypnosis of spiritual darkness

And helping to experience mystical revelation, perceptual liberation, and psychosomatic wholeness.

When we reach internally beyond the chattering mind, false identification with the conceptual image of ego

And physical body, our frequency begins to match the subtle realms of The Infinite.

If I ain't judgin' you for how you feel

I don't expect to be grilled about how I deal

What about all the times when the poison spilled?

And acid rained, but these flowers never toiled, still

Got it twisted they expect you to recoil, chill

So it all just turned to stone like gargoyles real

Flyin' off the handles and the ledges just until

You look up and all the tenure is in the rearview mirror

And the vipers are always closer than they may appear

Never tried to break armor

So if they ever try and hit you where it hurts

Take the seeds and put it in the dirt

Add the elements and let Nature do its work

You don't have to throw mud even if they threw it first
