Imagine you as a florist

Sending wishes to strangers

In tied up hydrangeas

And daffodils

And it's simple and peaceful

And all of the years gone are silenced

Like a long haul of rain fall

That stopped with the close of your eyelids

And the sunlight

Crawls in through the slat blinds

Warm against your skin like

A hand upon your shoulder

And you look older

But I'd know you anywhere

You look older

And you're still here
