Paralytic man

Whose friends prevail

Couldn't get through the door

It was jam packed

So they opened the roof

No respect lacked

They lowered him down

Jesus saw their faith

Knew what it means

Your sins are forgiven

Jesus said

But some teachers of the law

They just raged red

Who can forgive sins

But God alone

Questioned him

With a mental groan

He knew their thoughts

Called them out

Why doubt in hearts

What this is about

Easier say sins forgiven

Or rise and walk

But so you may know

let's end this talk

To the paralytic

He then turned

Get up take your mat

The lesson learned

The crowd was amazed

Gave praise to god

Such authority in their midst

They were awed

Then jesus saw levi

At the tax booth

Follow me he said

And he followed truth

Hosted a meal

With many man sinner

The pharisees saw this

Called jesus a winner

Of sinner man company

But he retorted

He came for sick and lost

Not the sorted

Get sorted with god

Walking through grainfields

On a sabbath day

His disciples picked grain

Leading pharisees to say

Why do they do whats

Unlawful on the sabbath

Jesus reminded them

Of david's path

The sabbath was made for man

Not man for the sabbath

So jesus is lord

Even of the sabbath

With wisdom and authority

He did speak

Challenging norms

In love He woke

let's end with a prayer

For those seeking light

For salvation and truth

For strength in the fight

Lord open hearts

To Your loving grace

Help us see jesus

Face to face

Admit we're sinners

Believe in your son

Confess him as lord

The victory won

For those ready to

Make this their plea

Welcome to the family

Forever you'll be
