Tyrannical mother

Great equalizer

Of birth and death

Each soul granted

Either gift or curse

Favoring the strong

And claiming back the weak

Suffering holds the key to the truth

Will you stand strong

Or beg her to soothe

The unbearable pain

Of existence

The struggle for survival

So persistent

She will gladly swallow you whole

The moment you admit defeat

For it is her role

To eliminate the meek

Now the victors feast in excess

Consuming her without rest

Tis a grave mistake indeed

To reap without sowing seed

When subsistence turns to opulence

The will of nature reverses

Once her children, now invaders

In her eyes tis death we deserve

Will we stop gouging our dying mother?

Or be gluttons with her flesh and blood?
