Falling through the sky

I land on my feet

In a place that

I know I've been

I question why

The path before me

Endless circles are boxing me in

Crescent moons are spinning again

Past the corners of my windswept mind

Illusions cloud my sight

Block my mind, distort what's right

They've left an empty well

Created fear I can't dispel

The foggy haze I see through

Obscures my mind no matter what I do

It will not dissipate, it leaves no space

In this lonely time and place

Nobody's dying to be

A hollow man, a shell like me

But what I am is who I was

I've never changed my lifelong flaws

Everything is falling apart

Every dream I had is dead and gone

I'm left crawling, barely hanging on

But all I can do is carry on

Help me see the road ahead for me

Help me ignore the voices in the wind

That guide me back to where I've been

Help me feel the things I know are real

Help me restore the choices in my life

That led me to this void within

I find it more enjoyable than sinking in the sand

Breaking ties

To bind them fast

Looking forward

To what has passed

Killing time

To bring to life

A fractured thought

That won't arrive

A hollow shell

That's filled inside

With all the tears

That I have cried

A life in need of change

Creates a void within

What counts is right here and now

Pick a new path, begin

Everything was falling apart

Every dream I had was dead and gone

I was left crawling, barely hanging on

But now I know I'll carry on

I can see the road ahead for me

That took me back to where I'd been
