Polling Day

It's polling day and they say it's a gift

But I've got a vote and I'm afraid to use it

One thing's for sure

We'll be getting what we all put in

Giving each candidates pledges one last good skim

Wish I'd done this at home and not tried to wing it

Coz it's polling day and it's all lost and wasted on me

If only we had MMP

PR, AV, STV

Then no MPs would have safe seats

No two-party system

I hate you first past the post

But I don't wanna split the vote

Maybe I should've just stayed at home

It won't make a difference

They're voting tactically, pragmatically

Optimistically, fatalistically

Idealistically, nihilistically

I don't know who to believe

Twenty minutes 'til the polls close

Turnout's at an all time low

It's a stitch up, it's a joke

Is it too late to change my vote?

They say they're all the same

Muh both sides

They all lie

The end's nigh

But it's not set in stone

Our hands aren't tied

Don't miss the window or the boat this time

So close your eyes and hold your nose

Pull your trigger, cast your vote

Vote forever, voting's free
