WW2 Internments gave the place meaning

Japanese-Americans like my grandparents

And grand aunties reintegrated in society

Planting new roots in Sawtelle through the storm

Preserved a sense of culture like the West LA Obons

Or Hashimoto and Yamaguchi birthing seeds
