Rose on the bedside from when I told her those three words

And it's seen better days still, so still he lays next to her

She tells him

"No shoes on the carpet," they stumble upstairs

She wants to be wanted, but nobody cares

But she's getting upset, her eyes bring the ocean

She got too complacent, he brushes her hair

He spots a single rose

Picks it up and blows the petals off the stem

As the petals hit the ground to the hollow sound
