Holiday Plans

The snow report tells us we're stuck

But frankly to me that's good luck

The blizzard that traps us has held us and wrapped us

In solitude, we're safe from the crowds

The road report begs us to stay

Avoiding the icy brigade

It's rational thinking to just pour a drink

And keep far from the crystallized clouds

Winter storms are common, as you know

This shouldn't be surprising

But I still thank that blizzard so

And I'll report back to the cheers

The seasonal greetings, and wish you were here's

I'll tell them it's better to hide from the weather

Repeating, it's out of our hands

Omitting the part we both knew from the start
