歌詞
The water's gone black, or is that mold
I've got to clean my house with the only thing I own
I reach in to find the stench of mildew is strong
I start to scrub, nausea takes hold
I know it's too late
You can't separate
The water from the mold
Now slime is spreading
Across the surface
You can't just flip it over and try the other side
You can't keep cleaning the same old mess
With the other side of the same old dirty rag
That smell will never go away, streaks are going to stain
Better dry it out and light that trash on fire
A pick between two doesn't give me a voice
If we only draw one line that don't feel like choice
We'll always polarize if there's only two sides
I start to scrub, nausea takes hold
I know it's too late
You can't separate
The drama we are sold
Now crime is spreading
Throughout our cities
And you can't just start it over from the other side
We need something else, something less used
Not just pick a hand from the same old vampire
Who's been around for two hundred years
Just stake him in the chest, these tricks are growing tired
Why is it that so many people
Are only drawn by party lines
Not everything needs to be so political
It's shocking how every issue becomes so polarized
And simple conversations, now they feel so weaponized
Of course we have opinions
And yes, there'll always be different sides
But how they fit so neatly into left-right ideology
Starts to beg the question
Who really does decide
What we think and how we act
And where we should divide
You can't keep cleaning the same old mess
With the other side of the same old dirty rag
That smell will never go away, streaks are going to stain
Better dry it out and light that trash on fire
We need something else, something less used
Not just pick a hand from the same old vampire
Who's been around for two hundred years
Just stake him in the chest, these tricks are growing tired
If you insist on those same old shitty rules
I don't wanna play your game
That's it, fuck off, I'm done
If you insist on those same old shitty rules
I don't wanna play your game
That's it, fuck off, I'm done
