God Made Me This Way

The church people say

He should be grateful

But the voice in my head

He can be hateful

All I see is red

So disgraceful

And with a mind like mine

How can I be stable?

And I can yell at the wind until I'm

Blue in the face

I can look the death in the eyes

And try to leave this place

And I can down a bottle of pills

It wouldn't take the pain away

So I stay

God made me this way

Made me this way

I don't know what else to say

I tried to pray it all away

Still the same nothing changed

God makes no mistakes

Isn't that what you Bible states?

So Father forgive me

If I can't be who you need me to be

Who you need me to be
