Cowboy Stuff

I wake up In the mornin’, way before six.

They’re in bed still yawning, while I’m out mending fence.

Times they get hard, but I sholl won’t quit.

Cause everybody wanna be a cowboy, till it’s time to do some Cowboy Stuff.

I had a daggum good daddy, he called me buckaroo.

He said son you gonna work twice as hard, as the rich man is a suit.

The banker will keep calling, wipe your brow and show some grit.

Cause everybody wanna be a cowboy, till it’s time to pay for Cowboy Stuff.

I ain’t cowboy cause she left me, took the dog and the truck broke down.

Or sittin’ under broken neons, on the sketchy side of town.

I’d love to sit here just talking, but I got better things to do.

I got a lot to drink about, and it ain’t over you.

I gotta real sweet woman, probably tougher than me.

We’ve been known to slam some doors, fuss, and scream.

Yeah we might fight, but we’ll never split.
