Stoplights reflect on concrete

A validating green, a shade I could have seen, but all thats left’s a bitter me

The shimmer of the spring, Imaginary wings, will lift me to my full release

 

My mind imagines fields of poppies

My sounds fill the skies like da da

The tiniest celebrity and happily with all my friends surrounding me

But everything is brief and life’s unthinking thief pulls me back to reality

 

Like a game of dominoes we tumble

We’re falling headfirst for our fantasies
