You came from heaven was placed in a family that came with alcoholics drug addiction men beating women you was never given validation

Feeling lonely and broken was your daily basis.

You grew older a custom to the world you knew

You never new what love was

You only knew discomfort

Only knew when dad would leave to work your step mom would haunt ya

Making you feel like you had no purpose telling you you were worthless

Telling you horrible things that a child should never bear to hear

Your innocents disappeared

Through many years you lived in fear

And you were left with men who took advantage

Unprotected by the ones you hope were there to save you from the feeling of just feeling damaged

16 was when you dated father

You married young thinking you'll leave a world that left you slaughtered

But you were young You didn't know the struggles you would soon approach

You only cared of leaving a world that always left you cold

But then we were born

Then life changed to only feel a love you never felt before a glimpse of hope

But the struggles didn't stop

You had other battles like battling to keep your house in lock

Many years you kept us safe you never showed the other side

That would affect us when we're grown

You faught to keep that pain inside

See from a world I knew

I knew that there was love

I remember feeling safe

I remember all the kisses and the hugs

I remember feeling happy

I remember feeling loved

To the point when I look back I get emotional because

I miss the feeling being young and it was all because of you I love you mama

Just know I've recognize what you've been though

Don't believe on what they said

You are beautiful you have a heart of gold you've learned to educate yourself

You've learned to always take control

You've learned to keep us safe

You've learned to give us love and grace

You've learned to show us truth

you've learned to not repeat mistakes

You scarified to give us evertthing

And even in the end there's still that little girl that fights the voices deep inside your head

Even my kids get a glimpse how I was raised and that's a blessing mama
