My quick fix is in the by and by

In a tin can hot box a mile high

Jet stream powder running cross the sky

Just get me up where the eagles fly

I quit the bottle full-throttle twenty years ago

Now only vice is the open road

Too long at home I think I might explode

Gotta get between the lines stealing time in tow

Lets roll up to another

Honky tonk, joint, or dive

These sleepy little southern

Towns are keepin’ me alive

I wanna burn down another

Barn together with you

Getting high on each other and

Staving off the blues

This way to live’s all I’ve ever known

Addicted to the flow and getting milestoned

Too long in the weeds and I’ll end up alone

Just get me out where the horns are blown

When I think that I’ve seen it all

I take another hit from my crystal ball

It’s baked into my mind that I’m living small

When I’m not with you tearing down these walls

Woke up one day got ourselves a band

Went from Portland, Maine down to the Rio Grande
