Every once and then, I get so tired

Thought I'd have a car and check the tires

The weather is all sunny or it's raining

Thought the Stockholm summer'd get me suntanned

But now I spend my days up on the highway

And everybody's talkin' 'bout the weekend

But my rib is hurtin', and I'm bleedin'

But all I need's a friend, and a hit, and a car, of course

I maybe need a job 'cause I quit, and now I'm lazy and bored

But everybody's waitin' downtown, it feels so far away

And I know it's not right to complain

Somewhere all alone up on the highway

But Ebba said she'd roll up in a car and

Buy me food and fruits, and pick me up and

Then I think I'll ask her 'bout the highway
