Recoil, pull away from self

In a huddle, trying to work it out

Two cabs, taken back forth

Two eggs, coming out your mouth

I want to say no, just to know you

It’s hard to let go, not to have known you

It hurts to feel I’m helpless

Preparing for another possibility

Twice overruled, o permissible

Twice told it’s over, it’s over

It’s not a fault yours or mine

I’ve reconciled that it takes time

And so I’ll grow around this part
