The mysterious ordinary man

Walks by my window twenty times a day

Don't know what he does for a living

Can't imagine what he might have to say

He wears a jacket in winter 

And another one in autumn and spring

In his hands I see nothing

he would carry or bring

The mysterious ordinary man

I think he does the best he can

I wonder if life is easy

For a mysterious ordinary man

Drinking wine in the cold

If I'm well, I don't know

Think my soul's tightly bound

And can't meander to the sound

Will I talk to him one day?

Will I walk with him someday?

I wonder if he wants to be addressed

Seasons come, seasons go

While the dark waters flow

If he moves away I think I'll lose a friend
