Yelling at the Sky

Just a child down the way

Growin' older every day

Sun paints a yellow kitchen

Mama's gone, I'd seen her itchin'

Too far from the city

They pick apples good and plenty

Time walkin' fast

Childhood faces pass

Said you got mule shot eyes

And where do cows go to die?

Now lines grow upon his face

Weight of takin' daddy's place

Workin' harder than he'll make

That's a rancher's give and take
