In your old town, you did just what you had to keep distance

But they grabbed you with novocaine

You said you′re "sober now"

Yet you were followed by the demons of a past life you believed in

Took passion over paycheque

Re-write your families pages

I took the day off for your funeral, but I left “on read” your message

When you made it out of the state to your sanctuary
