Furious Seasons

I'm old enough to see another day but stronger than before

The tide has turned itself upon the bay to wash us into shore

We still have many mountains left to climb, and rivers yet to cross

Upon the golden landscape of the sun through the coming of the frost

Remembering the chairs in your front yard, the ancient trees above your house

Casting shapeless shadows after dark that danced across your mouth

High above the city lights and clouds, a sky of reverie

The moon a silent song we're dancing to in a distant memory

I dreamed that I was meeting you again so far away from here

Then suddenly the furious seasons came reminding me of fear

The journey only brings another road, my home is everywhere

Let's live among the flowers of the field and the birds upon the air
