I think back to the 60’s

Their were songs about peace and love

Sentimental longings for peaceful timesAs the missiles flew about

Different faiths and philosophies

Shape the countries so full of hate

Where one man can stand in judgement

Of another mans; life and fate

Give them back their freedom

Give it back with love

Give them back their stolen land

No matter what the cost

Give them back their sovereignty

Give them back their hope

Give them time to start anew

Remember what they’ve lost

War is not a solution

History claims this as true

Throwbacks who think they can re-map the world

Through suspicion of the NATO few

Human kind seems to never learn

That living in peace could be fine

The past is splattered with innocent blood

Its time to leave the past behind

80 years ago you fought a common foe

And together fought back for your dignity and freedom

Now you terrorise your neighbour
