Is this reality or just my mind's twisted game?

Trying to drag me down, to make me feel ashamed

So many dreams I could have chased

So many roads I could have taken

But my fears always held me back, they hold me trapped

And my true self was forsaken

I close my eyes as tight as I can

And I try to sort my thoughts

To guard what's left and face

Restless nights and aching bones, my spirit feels so weak

Like a bird in a cage, I'm trapped and cannot speak

Haunted by my regrets, and the things I could have changed

Should I give up and surrender, or rise and take the lead?

It's hard to know what's right, when doubt is all I feed

So many paths I could have walked

So many fears I could have fought

But I will find my way again

Through the unknown

And I will leave the Hollow

These winding paths, I felt them before

I fight in an eternal war

In the face of the challenge I fight on

Never give up until the rise of the new dawn

I will free myself and leave the past behind

I can take the chance to let my spirit guide

This up and down, it's a never-ending ride

But I'll keep on fighting, I won't give in
