Fly Birdy, Fly

Once was a bird

Blue, yellow and green

Spread its wings

And protected me

Fly Birdy, fly

Try to thrive, not just survive

Maybe then

"It's just my time"

"Everybody gets a turn to go"

Well I once heard a little Birdy say

Don't fear

You're home

The Lord even watches the sparrow

You're here

Changes come

I'd give anything to hear him call me "son"

Old blind dog

Looking around

Through the dark

It can't hear a sound

She may be scared

Refusing to stay

In the dark

When most would cave

That is how I feel

Walking in the dark

And just reaching out for something real

I once heard a little Birdy say

Don't fear

You're home

That old blind dog

Will lick your wounds

Don't run

When changes come

Just look to the sky

And see your Birdy is home
