On the heels of Kerouac

One in line behind the lonely poets

But when you chase a fantasy

Reality is a casualty

You can trade the world and never know it

A poet and a prodigal

Manic and methodical

Born with something begging him to roam

Insane or just insatiable

A pilgrim with no place to go

Our story starts and ends with him alone
