Wonderful Times

I don’t think I trust a thing I say

Every plan I make falls out of place

Is this your way of simply dealing

Cause from down here it doesn’t look like healing

And really I don’t wanna see you sad

How it is now doesn’t take from what we had

So use this as my way of saying it’s fine

If you want to forget all the wonderful times

Now laughing just doesn’t feel the same

And maybe it’s just chemicals in my brain

Don’t wanna think of you as the cause and effect

But for a moment I was sure of perfect

And yeah it kinda sucks to see you smile

And maybe i’m still in a state of denial

Cause I keep asking “is it such a crime

That I hope you had a wonderful time?”

Maybe it was never even

I’ve never been one to believe in

Hating you just to help me

And I can see it in your eyes

You don’t find comfort in mine

And maybe that’s okay

And really I don’t even have to go

But I think we need these little white lies

So between us just know that I really hope

You don’t forget all the wonderful times

Cuz for me it’s all the wonderful times

All I see is the wonderful times
