Juniper walks through the forest

Her eyes meet the trees like a green disguise

Once surrounded by her loved ones

Now searching for a new home

She looks up into a tree and sees a bright red bird

Prancing prowling towards her next meal she pounces

Caught him by the tail she plucked only but one feather

No prize but a hungry belly and a bird left wounded

Juniper searches for shelter

Clouds rolling in grey and purple

Cries from the sky, crashing thunder

She's scared and alone in the gutter

Out walks Bailey with a box and a bright red blanket

She wears yellow boots and trudges through the muddy puddles

Like a sun she shines among the storm she's is a savior

Scooped Juniper up into her arms and carried her all the way home
