I had a vision of a Venus figurine

Quite the looker for a worker on Allen street

Said let's take it to a hotel, but I'm in search of Galilee

Want someone to sleep with, next to the cypress trees

I had a vision on the F train that the ravens arrived

Flew past the painters and the poets and came for my life

They picked apart my body, I said can't you use a knife

When I die, oh let me die

I had a vision of Emerson and his house in flames

Six years later his aphasia made him lose his name

Into the dark dirt he leaves this Earth just as he came

Teeth and bones and poems like conquered graves

When I look in the mirror I find

What's going on in my mind

I wish I didn't think so much
