Storm gray clouds recede

Cutting through the wind

Yesterday's leaves dance circles in my draft

A body in motion, a mind at rest

Order restored, the chaos past

Numbers descend to one and start again

And I feel driven

The freedom it brings, it brings

Caution, yellow pictographs

The strange and silent language of the road

Seasons change and still I drive

Tumbling, never to arrive

The close orbit of earthbound satellites

Being driven

Coordinates to chart the progress that's made

To nowhere in particular

And I feel driven

A yearning to find a place

And slow the pace of this chaotic quest for clarity

And sincerity and honesty

For the peace it brings
