The Mountain

It’s funny now you’ve gone

All the words have come.

But if I reach the end,

before I’m done

May I be the only one

To watch it in the wind,

What may be and what has been.

For though the rain will fall

Down upon us all,

The sun will come again.

From the mountaintop

Where my sorrow always stops

I will see you there,

To let go of your cares

Carried off in the raindrops.
