You are hovering, it's smothering

You're all up in my personal space

I've noticed you completely disregarding

The disgruntled look on my face

Your proximity is far too close to me

And you should know, we need a boundary

Clearly you can't see your inability to read a room

Look for the social cues

When I step back from you

I'm not secretly begging you near

You stay right there to tell me your story

I'm good right here

You are hovering

While I'm discovering your rationale for standing so close

Are you excited, trying to dominate

Could you sincerely not know

Research has shown most intimate relationships stand one to two feet apart

Add four feet for colleagues

Eight more for strangers

When in doubt, go with CDC guidelines

I'm wondering why

You feel so entitled to stand so close to me

You are hovering

It's unsettling

You're hovering

Hovering
