You always said I could be anything. So I followed my dreams, but you couldn't understand, Couldn't see past what it seemed. Your perspective is twisted. You only see what you know. Never looking past the struggles to see the ways I've grown. Now all that I've worked for has come To fruition, You still stand in my way Like I need your permission. You're two faced and a fake. You only stood in my way, but I'll be fine. I'm ok. I never needed you anyway. I've given everything to live out this Dream to end up with nothing but memories. You never showed you believed. Never listened when I told you, This is not just a dream & I won't let you control me. The only family I need is the one I made for me, Full of people who believe in and appreciate me.
