So, like, what's it even mean to be indie rock? Um, well, indie rock to me is just like, start really basic Like a basic drumbeat and a simple bass line And you just keep it, keep simple, I guess Then you can add, like, a simple guitar line The key is to keep it pretty simple and, just like, repeat it And then, yeah, it's like, not really any rules to follow I think the one rule would be to just have fun with it, I guess And yeah, there's gonna be like, a lot of times where You're just not sure what to add to your song, but that's okay I'll just keep trying to get some stuff up And at the end of the day, you know It's really easy to be super critical as an artist and not like what you've made But like, the most important thing to remember is You created something into this world that didn't exist before And that, in itself, is beautiul And you should be proud of yourself for that, so Woo-ho
