I was thinking back to when i was younger Long hair restless summer I was somewhere in the middle of nowhere I learned to put on a face just to have friends Perpetually wanting something more than myself More than i was When I was younger Wished i was older Wished i was taller My whole life felt so much smaller Now that I'm older World off my shoulder Save all your pennies and wells I wouldn't change anything I wish i could go back just to tell her It all will work out, you're not gonna feel this way, not forever And you'll lie awake in tears til the morning You're not gonna know everything when you're 14 You don't even know at 25 And that's alright When I was younger Wished i was older Wished i was taller My whole life felt so much smaller Now that I'm older World off my shoulder Save all your pennies and wells I wouldn't change anything
