Grateful

Back when nights were cold And life would show no mercy on me I picked up my load, i left my home for Jozi city lights Hoping they would shine on me (Shine on me) I followed in the light that they provide The road was winding But to my surprise they burnt too bright almost blinding me From the man that i was meant to be Lord you know Im so grateful Truly grateful Ahaaa I'm grateful Almost sold my very soul in return for something Tryna hold their foolish gold But it turned to nothing real I couldn't feel it (NO!!)
