Combining his melodic flow with atmospheric beats and metalcore breakdowns, rapper and singer iAmJakeHill creates a dark, emotional hybrid of rap, alternative rock, and metal.
• The Alabama native started recording music in response to a Reddit challenge to perform Busta Rhymes’ verse from Chris Brown’s 2011 hit “Look At Me Now.” This led to Hill making his own tracks and posting them online.
• By 2020, he'd released 12 projects, including several collaborative efforts with Florida rapper/producer Josh A. He’s also dropped singles as Lil Tra$h and Lil Pinecone, alter egos with their own distinctive styles. His 2020 album Autumn Gloom presents a more chilled-out side of the artist.
• In 2019, Hill made headlines for canceling a Houston concert in protest of a venue-wide ban on the sale and consumption of meat mandated by UK singer Morrissey, who was performing there the same night.
