About Elizabeth Cook
A critically admired Nashville singer/songwriter, Elizabeth Cook has courted mainstream success, while generally flying under the radar with her smart amalgam of Americana, country, folk, and rock. She has certainly earned the respect of her peers, appearing more than 400 times at the Grand Ole Opry, the most ever by a non-member. She made her major-label debut with 2002's Hey Y'all, but it wasn't until 2007's Rodney Crowell-produced Balls that she finally found a bit of chart success. After 2010's Don Was-produced Welder, Cook suffered a string of personal tragedies that led her into rehab. She re-emerged with 2016's Exodus of Venus followed by 2020's powerhouse Aftermath, both of which flirted with indie rock as well as country. 2026 proved a banner year for Cook with the release of her eighth album, Great Television, and the premier of The Easy Kind, a narrative film about her life.
