About MXRCI
His is one of the most familiar names in Punjabi hip-hop and pop, but relatively little is known about music producer MXRCI. What we do know is that he’s the brains behind the beats on a raft of hit tracks including for superstars such as Arjan Dhillon, Karan Aujla and Sidhu Moose Wala. Born and raised in Mohali, MXRCI taught himself how to produce music with FL Studio and online tutorials when he was a student. He debuted in 2020 under the name Mxrci Beats with Bobby Sandhu’s Aujla-featuring single “Nanak Niva Jo Challe” and quickly decided to focus on music full-time. Appreciated for his ease with rap, pop and R&B, and ability to bring the vibe of all three genres to the same song, MXRCI—who counts Metro Boomin and Murda Beatz among his idols—has become a go-to producer for singers and rappers in the Punjabi scene, including Dhillon with whom he’s made more than 200 tunes. After releasing his debut album as a lead artist in 2023, boasting features from Jordan Sandhu and US rapper Ace Hood, MXRCI ventured into Bollywood in 2024 with “Chal Kudiye” from the action thriller Jigra, a motivational ballad sung by Diljit Dosanjh and the film’s star Alia Bhatt.
