Steel Panther is a US comedy-rock band that brings a satirical spin to â80s glam metal.
â The group cut their teeth as a glam-metal covers band on L.A.âs Sunset Strip, where they had a weekly show at the famed Viper Room.
â The video for âDeath to All But Metalââthe lead single from their debut album, 2009âs Feel the Steelâfeatured comedian Sarah Silverman in a parody of Van Halenâs âHot for Teacherâ clip.
â In 2011, the groupâs real-life inspirations Def Leppard and Mötley CrĂŒe invited them to join their Mirror Ball Tour as special guests.
â All five of Steel Pantherâs albums have reached No. 1 on Billboardâs US Comedy chart.
â Their cover of Aldo Novaâs 1982 hard rock hit âFantasyâ was used as the theme song for the MTV reality show Rob Dyrdekâs Fantasy Factory.
