Remain forever in this alternate universe

Unwilling to escape the dopamine rush

I admit my denial, so it's not denial

Let me keep going even if I speak to trees

Is fulfilment worth the price of the sacrifices it requires

Take the paths to the first sounds

Violence dancing in my brain

Forgetting myself at water's edge, geese becoming talkative

Each light a mesmerizing show

I lose myself deep in the forest

Whispering secrets to the brustling leaves

My thoughts reverberating in the stream

Even though the sun caresses my bruised body

Tears on my smiling face
