She awakes in the spring

Right after the last great freeze

She explodes thru the weeds

With her face in the sun

That’s surrounded by blue

It reminds her of cold cold days

That she just went thru

She feels so small amongst all the trees

But she knows she can grow if she truly believes

In herself

She tries to hold on

To all she has on this earth

But the storms and the blowing winds

Scatter pieces of her

Thru the air and amongst all the trees

And it’s hard to let go cause she truly believes

But what she don’t know

Her good will has been done

All her seeds will help carry her

Memory on
