This Too Shall Pass

I've been wreckless with my own mind I haven't let myself let go Now I keep looking back on old times Afraid to walk in the unknown Yeah, I don't move that quick these days But I don't have that much to say So I've been quiet in my own way Sitting back and laying low And What I need is just a small change Because it's strange to be alone Yeah, I don't really want that much But what I want I cannot touch So Please have faith my heart is not a stone I am leaving the best part for you to own And I am only standing back to take you in Although I hope it lasts I know this too shall pass Now I've been riding on the old wave I'm out of style and nothing new But if you want I'll say I'm okay Then leave you left without a clue And Though it all may go unseen I only wish I could come clean And I've been careless with my own mind And holding back on what is true If I could I'd walk a straight line But I am blind and I am bruised Yeah, I will someday make it out Because with you I have no doubt So please have faith my heart is not a stone I am leaving the best part for you to own And I am only standing back to take you in Although I hope it lasts I know this too shall pass
