First Day Of Autumn

It’s the first day of Autumn,

And the first leaf has fallen,

And the way the wind is blowing it may never touch the ground.

And if I’m the leaf that’s falling,

You’re the wind that’s blowing,

And god I hope this moment last and we never touch the ground.

Let’s never touch the ground.

Stargazer lilies, chocolate covered cherries,

We talk about our memories as we sail out to sea.

And if I’m the gazer lily,

You’re the chocolate cherry,

And our memories will remind me every time I’m near the sea.

It’s the last day of Autumn,

And all the leaves have fallen,

And I can see the wind has blown them across the sea and on the ground.
