Lyrics
I passed two little girls drawing hearts in chalk
an old man re-learning how to walk
a mailbox flying it’s a boy balloons, a woman cussing puddles in high heel shoes
some see cracks where the cement broke
some see a chance for a flower to grow
a sky half full of clouds, half full of sun all depends on where you’re coming from
Same world different lives
same view different eyes
I looked around today and I thought
same street different sidewalk
There’s a can collector quoting bible verses
a dog walker walking a three dog circus
a pinstripe suit man yelling at his phone, a couple holding hands and ice cream cones
some are taking their time sunday strolling
some are in a hurry to get where they’re going
is it a good day is it bad all depends on who you ask
Same world different lives
same view different eyes
I looked around today and I thought
same street different sidewalk
Some see the hardest hill they’ve ever climbed
And some are coasting on a downhill slide
Some see beautiful, some just see a street
Some never see nothing but their feet on concrete
Same world different lives
same view different eyes
I looked around today and I thought
same street different sidewalk
same street, different sidewalk
