Backwards

Well I had a dream

That you disappeared

While I waited at the station

Then I try to call

But the phone won't ring

And I become impatient

Run out to the road

Where I shout your name

But all my words are whispers

And you start to fade

Like a polaroid

If it all went backwards

So I wander oh so lonely

Knowing somethings missing

Unsure how to fix it

And the years go by and I become so empty

Now there's not much to me

But a hole that you filled

Well I had a dream
