THE MASTERPLAN

I could see the Light on the Horizon

Fading like a distant memory

Taking all the Hope that we’ve been building

Feeling like it’s scattered on the breeze

And I could see the days were getting darker

And I could feel the love was growing cold

And I could sense the tensions getting higher

And a feeling like the story’s almost told

Is this the way things have to be?

Is this just the way things have to be?

Are we a part of Prophecy?

I guess in time we’ll get to see…

Is this the Dark before the Dawn

Or the Destiny of Man

A Brave New World or a story told

What is the Master Plan?

Can we ever understand?

Hallelujah

I could see the Sign up in the Heavens

And I could read the writing on the Wall

And everywhere the Crying of the Nations

Who could claim the Pride before the Fall

And here we are surrounded by the Darkness

Floating on a rock spinning in Space

A tiny little fragment of Creation

The animal we call the Human Race

Is this the way we have to be?

Is this just the way we have to be?

Are we part of Prophecy?
