You can see it’s on its way

Some of it’s here today

I’ve been walking around all day

And I haven’t had much to say

Except “isn’t this a lovely way of living?”

Summer in the city

It’s still a working day

People looking pretty

Working seems more like play

I haven’t had much to do

Thought a lot about you

Did you think about me too?

At first I didn’t notice it, I got my things together

I started to sweat a bit, that happens hardly ever

I beat myself at chess, I’m really rather clever

Suddenly I knew what was happening

It was a change in the weather

It really is a lovely town

The sun is shining down

Just wait until I get around to you
